Why do employers put this on application forms?! I'm filling one out but have writers block when filling this section out - anyone any suggestions?
It's for a vehicle inspector for the ncts, if it helps.
    Thanks in advance!

    Usual spiel of

    well-regarded employer
Interesting and challenging job with responsibilities
Feel that you are a good match to their culture and requirements
    Opportunities for progression

    etc.

Other posters might come up with other takes on this.

    Thanks,
I just wanna write something like "cause I want most money with least responsibility" or "cause dole won't pay me enough"
    haha:)
    As I said, writers block!

It's a stupidity filter of sorts.

You'd be shocked the amount of companies that get answers along the lines of,
"I hear the perks are great"
"I've been searching for jobs for months and now I just need money"
    "I keep getting fired"
"I have a drug debt that badly needs to be paid off"

    It's a waffle question;

"I would like to work in <company name> because <I have always had a keen interest in/I am highly qualified for/I wish to expand my career in> (choose one) <insert job title here> and I have been told through <friends/media/online search> (Choose any number) that <company name> will invest time and effort in me to help me develop my skills in <insert job title here>."

Unless your response contains the words - money, perks, drugs, fired or dole - you can't get the question wrong.

Haha, thanks for the response - I got my sentance, just didn't know how to word it before!

"I would like to work for you as I feel it would help my progression through my career and feel I have all necessary qualifications and skills to undertake the role." How's that?!

Thanks a lot lads, my head is fried with the letter writing and phone calls trying to hunt down a job! I've never found it so hard to get a job since leaving school!!

No harm in talking about the company in a positive way either.

How about "I admire how the NCTS ensures safer vehicles on our roads by fully and thoroughly testing the vehicles roadworthiness"?!?!
