Whats the laziest thing you've done today, or yesterday (its early)?

My kitchen window has tied back curtains. I was outside cleaning the window, and because I was too lazy to go in and get a chair to reach up high, I just cleaned the bit that was visible from the inside. Shiny windows, but I know the truth...:o

20minute lie in... then I HAD to get up or I'd be late for work.:(
    *misses bed*

I got up at the very last second so as not to be late for work. I have no make-up on and my hair is tied back so no one can see what a state it is! I also made my lunch and put my clothes out last night to maximise lie-in time. I haven't been sleeping well lately and I really do love my bed!

I wore a baseball cap instead of doing my hair :D

I've been in work 2 hours now and, apart from turning on my computer, I haven't done one work related thing. This afternoon I plan on having a nap. I am going to sneak out of work at 11 to get my hair done. I am such a slacker. The funny thing is that I got promoted last week for all my hard work. Suckers :D

Sounds like where I work, drives the newer employees demented trying to understand the odd politics and how the company is still around. As the number of posts to my name indicates it's not exactly left my own work ethic unscathed.:(

I had a 20 minute lie in this morning which made me late and I didn't brush my hair cos I couldn't find the hair brush! I also didn't have time to fight with my front door (Which just does not close with a 15 minute screaming match) so I had to scream for my other half to get up and close it for me as I ran out! The worst thing is I knew I was going to be late when I slept in so I didn't even enjoy it!! Grrr :D

I got up at 6.30am. Child got up at 7am, said she had a sore tummy, I believed her, so no school (which is an hours walk away). Not entirely sure I should have believed her, she seems perfectly fine now...

Both in our jammies now, and its Mid-Term Break from tomorrow (I know:rolleyes:) so dammit, we're gonna relax!

If there are any teachers reading this, I will of course spend the day doing educational games (sore tummy permitting) with her...

    *cough*

It all started last night when I was too lazy to bother with washing hair (and it needed it). Then decided to have a lie in this morning and go to work for 9am instead of 8am but had to have shower and so was very late leaving house with wet hair held back with clip (head freezing:(). Eventually got to work at 9.4am, boss not in so went to canteen for cofee and spent 1 hour there. Came back to desk, did tiny amount of work and have spent the remainder of my time on phone to my sister and on the net. Know boss has to leave for meeting at 1.30pm so fully intend to leave at 3pm as must go to Smyths to collect one of the Nintendo DS' for a present for my boyfriend.

Alarm went off at 7.20. Hit snooze a few times, managed to justify missing my first lecture, reset it for 9.20.
Alarm went off at 9.20, hit snooze until 10.15, finally managed to get out the door at 10.35, unwashed and in yesterday's clothes because I wasn't arsed doing laundry yesterday. Good times.

Yeah goes without saying - maximise time spent in bed :D that's a daily thing for me.

Work beginning to quieten down a bit again, so get away with dossing a bit more - the laziest thing in work this morning i suppose was pulling the bag from my office recycling bin & instead of leaving it down for collection, it's still sitting there 3 hours later

Oh I have everything ready to an absolute T so I only have to get out of bed, get dressed, brush teeth, splash water on my face, grab lunch/food for breakfast and go. I have to leave at 8.15 so I usually get up between 8.05 and 8.10. In the car, breakfast (usually just a banana) is eaten, hair done, and moisturiser, lip balm and a bit of eye-make-up put on - great way of keeping occupied when the traffic's bad! Then I have a coffee at work.
I do whatever getting ready I can the night before - shower (I know it's better in the morning but I just cannot get up, no matter how stinky. My main reason though is it's too cold at the moment. I always shower in the morning during the summer), make lunch, lay out clothes (including separating socks if I'm wearing them, so that they're side by side - these things all take up valuable seconds!)
    I love sleeping so much...

The fact that there's only one lecture is enough of an excuse. I NEVER managed to make it in when there was only one lecture on in the morning.

oh we have that too. it doesn't help me get out of bed though.

This morning I was very unlazy and got into college half an hour early to print off an assignment. The lab was like a graveyard. A graveyard full of computers.

left the gym still in my sweaty gear; air max, trackie bottoms, damp tee shirt but with my 'office type' sophisticated trench coat over it (classy bird:D), Must've looked like I escaped from local mental institution!

Why bother change when you just change again when you get home, eh??

I kept reaching over to the alarm when it went off this morning and kept hitting the snooze button.

I was busy chatting with someone today when I realized my laptop needed charging. I asked my sister to plug it in for me, and she told me she would, for a price. The price was to eat this old piece of candy she's had in her jewelry box since last Valentines Day (loooong story) and there's no need to go on.

that sounds dreadful! ugh. i love mornings. i love having the place to myself, taking my time, putting on some music, and reading junkmail and cereal boxes while eating my breakfast. i like to stroll to the bustop (i can't drive), and wait there, be at least 5mins early, sit on bus, set alarm for 5-10mins before im due to get off, wake up then, panic cos i think i've gone past my stop, figureo ut my surroundings... get off, go to work.

perfect morning. (except the bit where i don't get to stay in bed, and have to go to work, but y'no what i mean...)

ugh! i couldnt stand being late for (most of ) my lectures. even if it was only one in the morning, or, as we had on tuesdays; a four hour interval, and then one lecture in the evening, i couldnt handle missing stuff! though art in education on monday morning, with an asswank of a lecturer, plus i usually had to leave halfway through for hospital appointments (how annoying, i had practical, ie art and drama lectures on mondays, and work experience on wednesdays, and the only days the specialists i required were available were mondays and wednesdays  ) .

but today, i came home, and i refused to make my own tea (thank you b/f), and i had the added lazy luxury of my lyons teabags shipped from home (thankyou mammy), after my little snooze on the way home from work (public transport is for sleeping on. ha, i remember when i was homeless, i used to still pay my 70euros a month for my student monthly travelcard, and just go sleep on trains :P - waht a bum!)

Ah, I knew you'd be one of those "happy in the mornings" types :). No, none of the above seems like a decent alternative to being snuggled up in bed. Granted, I'm not grumpy in the mornings but, oh, I love sleeping! I'm dreaming about it now actually!

This morning I got up after 8.10 and was bombing down the road at 8.20. Arrived at work before 8.50 - was wondering why the traffic was so light. Then I remembered the schools are off - dammit, why didn't I remember that last night. I could have had another 5 to 10 minutes in bed!

Fell asleep on both buses this morning (25A at 6.45 to town, 11 at 7.30 to work), ate my dinner in front of my laptop last night because I didn't feel like logging out of World of Warcraft, am wearing a beanie hat today instead of doing my hair...

i was mebbeh a bit drunk while typing that, and shouldnt have said it... but yeah, twasn't the worst, if you sit at the front of the carriage where there are four seats, there's also a plug for keeping my mp3 charged, so i was pretty happy, and didnt have to worry about where i ended up, for the most part.

though bah, after a session last night, was awake by 8am and had to get up, was looking forward to not having to get up till at least the afternoon after so many pre 6am wakeups.

stayed up til about 3.30am last night, quite drunk and generally out of it, got two hours sleep, got up, went to work, was actually grand (except the shakes hit me about 10.30), got home, slipped into bed, and had a nice 8hr sleep. hence being awake now at 3.20am.

This is a weird thread for me. I feel like I've done nothing today. So I'd count today as a lazy day. But if I were to actually list what I've done, I've unloaded and hung up a washing machine full of stuff and then sent it off to the nice ironing lady who does my ironing, loaded the machine again, made a steak and kidney hotpot with mashed potatoes and steamed veg, tended my plants and hauled and stacked a couple of days firewood.

Still feel like I've done nothing though.

    ...hmmm.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,196 ✭✭✭Crumble Froo

wow. you should spend a weekend with us. i think the extent of doing stuff was going to the offlicence on the way to dropping himself's kid off to a party, and then hoovering when we got back...

drinking now, so dont really expect the day to get much more productive.
