Valentine's Date Ideas

Just started seeing a girl in the last two months or so. We're still "seeing each other" and not technically "going out". This suits me perfectly and seems to suit her too. Anyway, it looked last week like she was getting ready for Valentine's Day. Dropping hints about having gone lingerie shopping and stuff.

So we talked about it on Sunday and we're going to do the whole Valentine's thing on Thurs. Cards and dinner and stuff. I've never done it before, so it is kind of cool. The only thing is what to do with her. I have this picture of restaurants at Valentine's being really cringey and full of couple's gazing into each others eyes. Not to mention that they will be all booked out. Is there anything a bit more casual we could do?

I suggested we get a take away or cook but my house is getting renovated and hers is awkward with house mates. Any suggestions?

I wouldn't bother with a restaurant, not worth it. Wouldn't personally go near a restaurant on that night. You could have a picnic in your room. Get a blanket, lay it on the ground, get lots of pillows and cushions on the ground, light candles, put on some background music and put out lots of finger food and champagne.

On another note, are you sure you're just 'seeing each other', it sounds like you're in a relationship btw.
