Someone on another thread was asking about DL Kirkpatrick in Belfast.

That's where I got mine from and found them to be great to deal with and cost just a little less than €4100 including VAT and delivery with a UK and Ireland warranty (2 Years).

Charging the battery and have a job on tonight, indoors, so will test out it's high ISO capabilities

    Edit: Must RTFM!

Prepare to be amazed with that camera! 6400ISO is the new 1600ISO and you won't even think twice about noise levels shooting at 3200. I'll even admit that live view and the artificial horizon are useful....I rubbished them a few weeks back but I'll admit I used them both at the weekend for a shot or two.
Still, my only gripes are that the flash sync speed is STILL only 1/250th second and Nikon hasn't put in a click wheel like Canon's have to quickly scroll through images.

Make sure you have a big blower brush. Mine seems to be a bit of a dust magnet. Not so much on the sensor but in the mirror housing and on the prism above it.

    Thanks Pete.

The latter part of your post apply to my current D200.

I'm sure it will take a little time to master it. Suppose it's like a pilot moving from a single engined Cessna to a four engined Jumbo!

I went from a D200 to D3 and theres nothing in it regarding getting used to it. Hardest thing to get used to is the ISO button is on the back instead of on top & the playback button has moved slightly higher (you'll be hitting the MENU button for the first week from instinct!).
The menu's are pretty much the same regarding button set up, command dials etc... with a few extra menus for things like live view, Active D lighting etc...

The biggest instant physical change you'll notice is the bigger viewfinder and the amazingly short blackout time. The thumb cursor button on the back is slightly better positioned than on the D200 (with grip).
The battery last forever, easily over 1000 shots per charge and thats with alot of chimping too. I've mine a month and charged it 3 times with about 3500-4000 shutter actuations and thats with the battery not going below 50% between charges.

Good luck with it and looking forward to seeing some shots!
