Worlds strongest man vs. physique...

Just wondering, can something like this be achieved without steroids?



I'm guessing not - that Hanley fella seems to be throwing around some savage weights compared to most people, by all accounts... but when you see fellas like that (above), you almost think they are all show and no strength or just whacked out on drugs. I reckon Hanley would burst your man in a fight... The lad above, reminds me of that fella that was on the worlds strongest man with the huuuuuuge biceps, Manfed Hoberl who was crap at the strongman competition but looked like an Ox - but Magnus Ver Magnusson was half the size, could squat about 400 kilos and bate the hell out of him in the strong man competition.

So bringing it back to total childishness - who would win in a fight... Hanley, Magnus Ver Magnusson, Yer man above in the pic or Manfred? I would reckon Magnus #1, Hanley #2, Yer man above #3 and Manfred #4.

What can I say, I'm bored and a bit of a child

I saw a interview with a "strongman", and he was saying the only weight training he did were squats and deadlifts, all other training was practising actual events.

Why do people feel that:

well built = good scrapper

They're not directly related. Pumping weights in a gym does not mean you're going to kick the daylights out of someone smaller than you.

OP the first pic, not a chance in hell he's natural.

Lol at him not being strong also. While he obviously trains specifically for size, there's no one that big who doesn't move big weight too.

This is natural muscle not what was posted in first Post. This is Mike Mentzer for those who don't know. Only man thus far to achieve a perfect score in Mr. Universe. No steroids here. This is what anyone who wants to build a body seriously should strive for. Not the plasticy ,water filled muscle above in first post.

He took steroids for a short period of his career but stopped shortly afterwards because of a genetic heart condition. Coleman is not drug free, thats not natural muscle. Don't think he was insane but definitel I'll say he was very eccentric. Crazy post alright

I'm a HUGE fan of Mike Mentzer and Mentzer himself would be the first to admit he took steroids. He was one of the very few bodybuilders who was open about his use. He also hated bodybuilders who used steroids but claimed to be natural in articles.

I think the difference is that the amount of steroids being taken by individuals is far greater now than it was in mentzers days. He may have taken them but not in the quantities that they are being taken now.

Ps hypnosis have you got his HIT DVD. Very good. Filmed hours before his death.
