LED Lenzer are great torches, we use them in work along with maglites and to be honest, i prefer them to maglites as they are much brighter and work like a flood light. also, they can be got in loads of shapes and sizes and can take alot more abuse then maglites as the bulbs in maglites are ****e. that tabaco pipe place besite trinnity collage sells them.

i got this one for about 30 quid in the place next to trinity : http://www.johnlewis.com/jl_assets/product/230364389.jpg

and a small scope mount ring will do the job to hold it in place.

    Flashlight hack

I have all the parts to do this (bar the flashlight) but haven't got around to doing it. would be handy for upgrading cheapo flashlights.

Sorry, forgot to add the rest of my post as i was on the phone and just hit reply :D:D:D

I find that the light from the maglite's is very dull and the shape of the bulb means you get patches of light and dark within the beam.

Thats why i switched to the Led Lenzer ones. the bulbs are more like LED's and they flood the area with light. they also have multiple "bulbs" in the head of the torch and because they are not normal bulbs, they dont brake when bounced around.

lol,. i was just messin with ya.,.,
I agree, the LED ones are pretty good, i got a really nice one on ebay for only a few euro but it doesnt fit in the mount, the maglite is about 25mm so fits perfectly.,:)

i found that the shaft of my torch was too small but the light housing at the top was a perfect fit for the scope ring i was using and it ment that the switch for turning it on was behind the mount and not infront.

LED Lensers use Luxeon Batwing formation LED's. They're exceptionally bright but are quite a bit larger than regular LED's, this is why they're applications are limited, but they're at home in flashlights.
I'm rather pissed at the moment because I had one that cost me 60 eurobucks with a RIS adapator for it that cost me another 20 that's missing right now. I haven't seen it since I gave it to someone at the night game.

Check Dealextreme for mounts and LED flashlights
Their prices are seriously low and I've picked up several
LED torches and mounts from them. Free shipping is not the fastest
(especially with Chinese New Year) but with the USD/EUR exchange
rate EMS works out pretty cheap and much faster.

Their single AA Cree LED torch is brighter than the large 4 cell Maglites
(either Maglite with standard bulb or with LED) and due to the small size
of the single AA torch you can easily mount it on an AEG or GBB.
