Problem with a Samsung m300v, is this normal?

    I just picked up a Samgungm300v (https://www.vodafone.ie/df/shop/ProductDetails.shtml?handsetselected=100028&offerSelected=portins&action=view) for a friend of mine and I'm having a problem with the front screen, it won't stay on once you close the phone.



    When you close the phone the backlight turns off after a few seconds but you can still see the time and coverage, then a few seconds later the screen goes blank and you can't see anything until you open the phone again or someone call you. Is this normal? Is this crappy vodafone firmware?

    Go into settings and you should be able to change the backlight behaviour when phone closes etc.

    hmm, there is nothing in setting about behavior for when the phone is closed. I set the backlight to 3 minutes and the dim to "off", but still no luck. :confused:
