Did any one notice the amount of r4 cards or similar on the buy and sell lately, being sold with games on them for up to €100? I absolutely can't stand people making money from piracy! Where or who would you complain to about something like this?

If buy and sell don't listen then inform Nintendo or ELSPA since what they are doing is very much illegal. They won't allow those adverts once their uber lawyers send the cease of desist orders. ELSPA in particular will take it very seriously.

    Hey Guys,

If you spot ads like this let us know at websupport@buyandsell.ie or on 0818 43 43 43. We proof all ads posted but there are many thousands of then and sometimes a bad one slips through, we're more than happy to take it offline if it's brought to our attention.

    Thanks!

Honestly now, does this keep you up at night?
Do you mount protests at the Sunday markets at the pirate DVDs?

I mean, unless you are directly affected by the sale of pirated goods, say as a developer, publisher or retailer, it's hard to see how you should be so pissed off.

If its something you don't like, then don't buy the product and convince your friends to do the same.

If other folk are selling them, it's their crime, and the relevant authorities responsiblity to nab them, as it is with those that buy them.

It has to be said though, the fact that one can buy a little plastic cart and 1gb mem card, enough capacity for 20 odd games, for €50, it's quite tempting, although they are not very widespread outside of those computer and torrent savvy folk.

I know many people who own DS consoles and only 2 have an R4 or other flash card. Not really at crisis point just yet.

If you were sold a flash card under false pretenses when you expected a proper full game instead then I'd say fire away and complain, but if it's not affecting you, other than causing some sort of moral outrage, I'd say move along.

You don't have a problem with people making money out of piracy? I've never had a problem people pirating stuff, but trying to make money out of, I've a big problem with that!

    No
Do i go to sunday markets? No

If you see someone try rob a car, would you not call the police? It is nothing to do with you either? Do the situations differ all that much?

Show me a link to one for €50 with games, I didn't see any. they were all trying to rip buyers off , selling them for more than twice the price they payed for them.

Is me reporting them to the buy and sell affecting you in any way? Are you one of the people trying to sell them? Well if not why don't you try practicing what your trying to preach and "move along"

Dunno about that, a friend of my girlfriend asked me about them the other day and she would be completely computer illiterate.

He's doing more than convincing his friends. He's highlighting it to all who pas through the Nintendo forum here on this thread.

Happy to say I've never purchased pirated material. Coming from Dundalk, with Jonesborough up the road that's saying something.

No interest in funding bandit country by paying money for dodgy knock offs.

The annoying thing is, to someone who has no knowledge of what these cards are, 150 for 20+ games seems like a really good deal.

    Oh Ciderman, Witnessmenow owned you!

Its true though, there preying on peoples ignorance. 20 games for 100 is 10 times cheaper then buying individual cards! Why wouldnt people be interested. Its missleading and dishonest and i think witnessmenow has the right to address it and have it dealt with buy the Buy n Sell.

    Fair play

Here I was worrying about the current political situation in Iraq, the conflict in Darfur, the violence in Nairobi, rampant homelessness and drug abuse on the streets of Dublin, gang shootings, etc etc. I'm glad someone has really put things into perspective and started a discussion about important things, like some chancer making money off idiots.

the nintendo forum would be a strange place to talk about the above.

Quite possibly the most ridiculous post I have ever seen.

What exactly did you expect to find in the Nintendo Forum that would have any bearing on any of the things in your post.
