Space: Freeze or Boil?

    Okay, hypothetical question here:

    If you were in space and didnt explode (suspend your disbelief please!) and also in the sunlight. ie not on the dark side of the moon or anything. would you freeze to death or get fried?

    Obviously space is mighty cold but you would be absorbing loads of sunlight and this heat would not dissipate very readily. There would be close to zero convection and conduction. So i suppose it would come down to your emissivity?

    any ideas? dont need an answer but just was curious...

    I doubt you'd be in a position to care since the lack of external pressure means the fluids in your body would begin boiling out.

    thats why i said imagine u didnt explode, its more of a heat transfer question i am asking...

    You wouldn't explode, your blood/stomach contents etc would boil out various openings.

    Otherwise it's just depends on the balance between heat in from the Sun versus heat radiated.
