    Well, spill the beans!

Here's a few of mine (yeah more than one unfortunately).

Popping into a bookies when i hadn't intended to, realising there's a race about to go and hurredly making my selection and backing it.

Liking the look of something but not backing it and complaining about it if it wins.

Popping in and out of the bookies.....from a pub.........all day.

Not keeping an ear out for news on low profile matches.

Knowing a little about a lot of sports rather than a lot about a little and backing these sports on limited knowledge.

Sitting in front of an online betting site while there's a match in play and pretending I'm just having a look and not planning to back anything.

    Backing dogs.

The mistake for the majority of people is setting foot into a bookmakers or setting up an online account in the first place.

Now this is one that I can't understand. How in the name of jaysus can someone have €50s and €100s on dog races and not bat an eyelid? It's absolute lunacy. Just in case I didn't make it clear; backing dogs is fucking madness.

Putting the wrong team on the slip and throwing in a match that had already finished in an acca were my two worst

Partuclarly so betting on the BAGS races provided to the bookmakers shops. They are betting to 133% overround which is akin to taking 1/2 about a coin toss! I used to bet on them years ago but its the one thing (goes without saying that I never touch virtuals or south african racing) I avoid now at all costs.

Lol CSON, so you really like the dogs then.

Personally speaking I am not averse to the odd punt on the dogs and have found it quite profitable.

However, most of my selections would be in Open grade races where you can analyse form and come up with some very solid selections.

You can make a few bob on the dogs but luck plays a big part in the lesser grade races

Placing a bet in a bookies/sports bar in Germany, watching the horse romp home and then being told to f**k off when I went to collect, no explanation given, just a knowing smirk from a fat German barmaid who had taken the "bet". Then kicking up a fuss and getting ejected by an eight foot bouncer and his 25 stone colleague.

Yeah Irishminke online casinos are deffo bad news.
I don't mind betting on blackjack(I'm beginner) or roulette when you can see whats going on in front of you.

Have just been on ebay for first time in a while, it amazes me how many people buy gambling systems for online casinos LOL.
