Anybody know when ITV HD will start broadcasting and if they will start showing F1 on HD?

    Is ITV involved in HD?

ITV has committed to launch an HD channel in 2008. ITV1 HD will feature the best of ITV sport and drama in stunning high definition quality. It will begin as a two-to three-hour peak time service that will extend its hours as HD audiences build.

Is F1 filmed with HD cameras as it is?

Yes, apparently. The British Grand Prix was shown in HD via satellite in the Vue cinema in Liffey Valley last year.

Something which should happen more often with sporting events imo. Imagine watching the World Cup final in a packed cinema

What is really annoying is that BBC are showing Wales v Scotland in HD and then showing France v Ireland in plain old SD. I know its the French that are providing the pictures but I can't wait for England v Ireland. The quality of the England-Wales game last week was superb.
