Free Hugs Dublin! Sat the 23rd of Feb

Right, some of you will be aware of what Free Hugs is, some of you won't.

Basically there will be a group of us around the top of Grafton Street near the Stephen's Green Shopping Center on Saturday the 23rd of Feb offering Free Hugs to anyone who wants one!

So if your feeling down or just like hugs then show up and get yours!

And yes, i simply am that weird!

And lastly, we will not be approaching anyone with the offer of a Hug, we will simply be available and visible for those who feel that a Hug would cheer up there day, or just because they like them!

It's probably a subscription service.
First hug is free, but you have to pay €2 for each additional hug that you'll be receiving there after, until you txt 'STOPHUG' to the hugger.

Was in Riga about a year ago, quite bemused at first to find good looking girls walking up to me in the street and hugging me, but was happy to go along with it.

Of course, then I discovered it was just Free Hugs

Was a good laugh though, watching other people's reactions ranging from amusement to happiness to disdain. Do remember thinking at the time it would never work here, but hope you prove me wrong!

A core group of 3 or 4 but people are welcome to join us and offer hugs for as long as they like on the day!

All it will really need is 10 seconds of peoples time to get a hug, have a smile and then stay about if they feel they want to!

I am just trying to establish acceptable boundaries here missus and define what a hug is..

Do you have to hug from the front or can you hug from behind too?.
