THinking about getting this pacakge as well as the unlimited mobile broadband.

Does the E65 allow you to surf the net via its bluetooth connection on a bluetooth laptop?

Never used a 3g phone but this looks good

yes it does let you browse the internet via bluetooth but its better to do it with the supplied usb cable because bluetooth kills the battery. you'll have to get a data package from 3 or it'll be very expensive and you should know that doing it is against the terms and conditions. customer care won't give you any help, in fact they'll tell you its impossible and if they find out you're doing it they'll cancel your contract

Seriously? It be handy enough for me. Do a small bit of traveling with work and wouldnt mind having it for filling in the gaps in the boredom.

Whats the difference between x series and unlimited broadband? Doesnt seem to be anything on the site

    Does vodafone do anything similar?

unlimited bb gives you 2gb to use per month. X series gives you the same but also free skype calls (only to skype, not to landlines) and orb and i think a few other things. Basically there's no point in them having the 2gb add on because x series is better for the same price

i constantly use my phone for the net. I'm posting dr it now. There isn't even any real need for a laptop, opera mobile does me fine. There's even a free youtube app for the phone.

its come to the stage that i have to carry a second battery around because i use it so much. Of course, a laptop would give the full computer experience at the cost of the inconvenience of having to set it up and the extra data use because opera compresses stuff before sending

all the above is based on the assumption that its all working. It often isn't because 3 are incompetent so the network often breaks and they refuse to acknowledge that the problem's at their end, instead insisting you take your battery out 100 times in the hope that that will fix the network

now i think of it, the reason i grou this phone was i got used to browsing the net on my n70 but the 3 internet was too unreliable and stopped working altogether for two months so i got this so i could use the wifi when 3 stopped working

it has got a lot better though i must say

Go for the x-series gold, it's the same price as the "unlimited" broadband package. The difference between the gold and silver is the use of Orb and Slingbox and I thought there was something else but cannot remember right now. I have used the phone as a modem for my laptop both in Ireland and roaming in the UK with no problems, and more importantly no extra charges. I'd actually just use the phone now more often though when I'm travelling about as it's far easier than getting the laptop out usually.

Edit: ...and you'll probably find a better explanation of the differences with the various packages from the .co.uk website than the .ie one. Just the download limit quoted there is only 1Gb and we get 2Gb a month on the "unlimited" packages.

I got it to day. Just got the silver package. I dont have a sling box and not sure if I'd use orb (how does it work?).

Also I got a bill pay but signed nothing. Is that common?
