    Hey,

Bit off topic, but closest forum I reckon.

Anyone here know much about thermal cameras, ones that show heat blobs at night.

Interested in using one for a project and wonder if you can rent them, or if buying them is still insanely expensive.

    Thanks!

kev, pretty specialised equipment and i think they are still quite expensive. But probably wouldn't hurt giving these guys a shout - http://www.flir.com/IE/- as they are world leaders in thermal imaging

    Cheers deco.

Found a few suppliers of those FLIR cameras in Ireland.
Seem to start at the €4000 mark though, and they've got a much better range than I'd ever need.

Reckon trying to scab some old one that's useless for security would be the best bet. Hrmmmm.

I've heard of people renting these but I'm not sure where you would source one... maybe a company that hires out engineering equipment...?
