    Hi all.
I have a work meeting in Brussels coming up at the end of this month, the only problem being I'll be landed in the early morning and have nothing lined up to do til late afternoon. Whereas delightful Belgian beer is calling me, I can't really turn up locked! Any suggestions for photo ops to keep me on the straight and narrow on a Thursday morning in Brussels (over and above the usual city stuff and whatever catches my eye)?

    Thanks in advance.

    D

Natieplein - a wonderful park in Brussels city. Very scenic, somewhat like Stephen's Green. Worth a visit.

I have a the same situation In Newcastle and Glasgow in two weeks and Riga next week. So will be overdosing on taking pictures of Bridges.

From my memory of Brussels there is a very vibrant cafe culture with people dining al fresco which may be nice, also a strange structure near Heysel Stadium.

Im in Brussels every few weeks, Ill drop you a PM tomorrow about it. Places worth taking shots: in the center would be the Grand Place and surrounding areas. Worth heading in the Rue Franklin direction to see the Commission buildings and Parliament. Also if you have a good bit of time, hopping on the tram and heading out to the Atomium is always a great spot for shots! The nicest places to shoot, are all the the suburbs and commuter towns though, places like Leuven, Ghent, Bruge etc.

also, loads of stunning churches in the city. Worth taking a trip out to Montgomery too, some great monuments out that way.

Oh and don't forget the little fella :p

If you are out the Atomium direction then the the northern corner of the royal park there has a Chinese Pavilion and Japanese Tower which are pretty cool (the closest Metro station is Heysel).
