Loire Valley trip..

    Hi all

I am planning a trip to France in March. I am travelling with Irish Ferries on Wednesday the 12th and leaving again on Saturday 22nd.

So that gives me the bones of 10 days to enjoy a much needed break from work.

As soon as i arrive, i will drive south to Angers, where my younger sister is studying business on an Erasmus exchange program. I am going to stay with her for a couple of days, leaving Angers on Sunday.

From here, i want to visit the Loire valley, but i have a very loose plan. i probably wont go much further east than Tours.

Does anyone have any suggestions or tips for the Loire valley? Anywhere that is a must see?

Also, are there any hotels that anyone could reommend? I intend to camp and take things fairly casual for most of the trip. But it might be nice to have one night in a really nice traditional chateau or country house.

anyway, i have a fairly basic plan at this stage, any advice much appreciated.

    Cheers
    Gav
