Are there Battery connectors that will slip over the connector on an AEG
that uses a large battery to allow you to stick in a small battery ?

Or something you can stick on a small battery conector that
contains both big and small conectors to allow you a choice.

Probably pretty easy to re-wire something or get something in an
electronics store but I'm Lazy and dont have a soldering iron.

Universal aeg chargers come with them usually. I got one with each of my ProPeaks, I think the TLP's have them too.

All they are is a female large to a male small or a male large to a female small (depending which way you wanna go). They're officially called 2-pin Molex connectors (Made down the road from you in Shannon actually) but are often called race-pack connectors due to their popularity with R/C cars. In Japan they're called Kyosho and Tamiya for the male and female respectively and these names are usually tagged to them over here now too.
What we call the large type are the above. They're the standard size. Fierce easy to get. Maplin, Radionics, Farnell and any model shop should have them.

The smaller ones are harder to find, I've gotten them from Farnell before but they don't always have them.

No solder or anything involved in them, they're just crimp connecters that push into the plastic shell afterwards. You can crimp them with a long nose pliers if you don't have the "special" tool (the pliers is just as good, the special crimper is about 40 bucks).

    Sweet,

Reading all these posts about people taking gearbox's apart
and people modifying things with Mosfets etc makes me realize I
gotta get off my backside and start learning how to do it.

AEG batteries are just the same as RC ones really.,

If you can get your hands on a small battery connector piece it should be easy enough to switch the connector too, all you need is a small screw driver to flatten the connecty bits (technical term) and then you can slide the connector off and do the old switcheroo (another technical term) on it. Of course that'd mean you'd need to switch the connector again if you wanted to use it with a dfferent connection.

I got a little piece with my smart charger which connects from small to large, I've used it to use my AK batteries in AEGs with large connector pins, something like that might work too, but you'd need to find room for the extra wiring.

That's where the names come from. They're design was supposedly a joint venture between the two companies as they were looking for a universal connector to become the standard. In the spirit of goodness they gave their name to one connector each. Something to do with the iconography of their cooperation being shown everytime someone connected a Kyosho to a Tamiya

Sounds like you're looking for a large to small tamiya adaptor/lead.
Just check which you need as male and female.

I got one with my TLP charger but needed another type
for using a battery with a large tamiya connection on an AEG that
    had a small tamiya connector.

I picked one up on componentshop.co.uk for less than €5 inc postage.

    Also available here: http://www.cheapbatterypacks.com/?sid=889578&pgid=adapter

You can specify how long a lead you need as well.
