JavaScrip/Safari issues, 10.5.1?

I've been using Leopard pretty much since it came out and have been browsing with Safari for the most part.

I've been having some what I think are JavaScript issues - for instance, in the Forum Tools on this bulletin board, Forum Tools > Mark This Forum Read doesn't work as it should, it does nothing.

Also, in flickr, the fancy new Upload photos to flickr page doesn't work properly, when I select an image the uploader just sits there ad does nothing nine times out of ten. The basic Uploader works fine though.

So here's the strangest thing - if I create a temporary test User and browse Boards or Flickr using that account and Safari, all that stuff works perfectly! So there's either a cache or preference somewhere set in my "normal" user that's affecting all this stuff. Anyone here with ideas how to fix this? It's driving me crazy it's driving me nuts!

My "normal" user account was brought through the upgrade process from 10.4 & 10.3 (and possibly since 10.1, can't remember) so could there be some vestigial hangover from previous systems?

    Thanks,

    Hugh

Think I may have cracked it. I opened Java Preferences and found that it caches a bunch of applets in ~/Library/Caches/Java/cache. I deleted these cached applets and Safari seems to behave better.
