Are the north and south sides really two separate cities?

I’m from and live on the Southside (of Dublin) and work in the South City area. Apart from the odd trip to the Airport or the IFSC, I very rarely seem to have any reason to stray onto the Northside.

When I do go NS – for example last week I had to spend 3 days on a work assignment close to the top of O’Connell Street – I get the vague feeling that I am in a totally different city, such as Cork or Limerick for example.

Do other Southsiders sense this “away from home” feeling when visiting the NS?

Strange - 'your' side of the river contains such lovely suburbs as Ballyfermot, Tallaght and Clondalkin to name a few. Not that there is anything particularly awful about these places of course. How about you grow up, stop being a snobbish ***** and stop trolling aswell. There is a Dublin forum to post this rubbish in.

This is not the Dublin city forum.

Also, Dublin is not two seperate cities, despite what some would like to think.

    Get a life.
