    Hey guys,

Just wondering if any of you head over to Bristol that often. Not to far/expensive to fly. The poker scene over there is growing, with Antonio Esfandiari, Phil Lakk, Boatmas and Bevers playing there a while back. They have a new casino on the water front.

    Anyone got any stories? etc...

    Thinking of heading over.

    Thanks

Standard is generally poor, but very few walk ins or absolute fish in the csah games, with generally play as 1/2 ROE, or sometimes just Hold'em. Even the ROE is not a big game, and stacks will be shallow.

There is a Stanley [normally 20 stg FO's & rebuys] & new Gala casino [100 stg Sunday night tournament].

Stanley cash games are unraked, and Gala rake £5 per hour per player, with a free cash game on Sunday afternoons.

In general poker is poorly supported by the casino's as they make more on house games.

I would not recommend Bristol for poker, though there are a few strong UK players based there. Get in to London, or up to Cardiff instead.
