Very quick question about last episode in series 3

    When Jack was freaking out in the hospital, I think he said something along the lines of "my Dad is upstairs, get him down here and if he's drunker than I am you can fire me right now".

    Now maybe I misheard it, but isn't Jack's father dead?

    supposed to be, but maybe not.

    However, Jacks rant doesn't have to mean Christian is alive - at the time i just took it for a drunk and mentally folding rant.

    Yes, I think we were all supposed to think that it was the ramblings of a drunk, broken man which is what I thought too. But after seeing s4ep1,
    and reading someone elses thoughts on this I think it could be that he is 'dead but he is also there' much like Charlie. Someone on another thread said that Christian might reappear to Jack in a flashforward, like Charlie did to Hurley. I think this could happen. After all his body was not in the coffin in season 1 and Jack also saw him in the jungle.

    Also,
    lets not forget we see him in the last mobisode.

    I think he could be a big part in the show, what with all the flashbacks he's been in (and not just Jacks.
