Tevion 32" HD LCD TV €529.99 in Aldi this Thursday...well according to their brochure its Thursday..their website doesn't list it at all in Thursday's specials?

I know this was discussed back when they last had this offer in December, but I'm trying to get a bit more feedback.

    Anyone buy it? Any opinions?

I have no opinion on the telly in question but I heard someone mention they'd asked if the this tv would be on sale on Thursday as it wasn't mentioned on the website and the verdict was yes.

What connection does it have at the back? If it has 2 hdmi or composites and a scart I'm buying it!

The Samsung has three HDMI slots. I have it as a second tv, and I cannot complain about it. The picture is very clear, and the contrast is excellent on it. Sound quality on it's own is only average, but connect it to a decent system and you are laughing. I have it upstairs with an upscaling dvd player and an Xbox 360 connected to it, and the onscreen quality is excellent for both.

samsung are a great lcd tv and this is a great price but a word to the wise : the € conversion rate they (laptopdirect) use against sterling at i think €1.34to stg£1 is way below what your credit card will charge so you can add another 10% to price . even at that its still a great buy if you want quality lcd and in fairness they point this out before you confirm your order.

And god help you if you have a problem with laptopsdirect. Having dealt with numerous companies over the years they are by far the worst I have ever dealt with when trying to get simple problems resolved.

same model costs €790.99 from komplett , before delivery costs

I think the Aldi TV does have these. It also has the freeview thing that the Samsung mentioned here has. Aldi (or is it Tevion?) usually give a three year guarantee with their products which might be worth bearing in mind if you are still open to being swayed on the decision! Aldi are pretty good with money back returns as a rule too if there's a problem early on.

I'm thinking of buying the Aldi tv myself now. Does freeview work automatically on these tv's or do you need to buy a satelite or something? Is it a feature worth bothering with?

I read the customer review of the Sony 32'' T3000, the guy said no 3-pin plug and no English manual.

    It shouldn't be a problem.

    Personally, I'd be buying a LCD TV with a resolution of 1920 X 1080 (i.e. 1080p) - more money, but so much nicer :)

I've ordered the Samsung below ,price went down to €570 last week. Think the price varies with sterling exchange as theres a different price everytime I look
