I'm looking for any information i can find on CMMs and i was wondering if anyone here uses these machines or knows of companies that do.

We're trying to get an old Mitutoyo B-231 CMM up and running after getting it from Hitol, Waterford when it shut down. The hardware seems to be in perfect condition but we're having severe trouble trying to find any software to run it.

We can't get the funding approved to pay for a complete retrofit until we first prove that its working, so we're trying to hunt down demo software or copies of the original out-of-date software. Basically we're looking for CMM Manager, PC-DMIS, GeoMeasure, MCOSMOS or GeoPak software.

Is there anyone that works with these machines who could help us out? Thanks!

Try the colleges/institute. I know IT Tallaght have one and sometimes do work for outside companies if that helps?

I program and run a CMM nearly every day at work, they're great machines. PM me if you have any queries. Theres courses with Mitutoyo over in UK. I did the MCOSMOS CNC Basic, was very useful for getting a feel for it, and a good start for programming them.
