    :DHi,
    I am building a pc and i have a EVGA Socket 775 nForce 680i SLI ATX A L
motherboard and i put an Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 2.4GHz OEM processor into it(all which i got in dabs.ie). I was wondering what sort graphics card to put in.I want a pretty good one. I am willing to spend up to 170 euros. Any info would be appreciated. Also i am looking for a computer hard case - any ideas and where to buy one.

    cheers

170 isn't the best budget to set yourself for such an otherwise nice system.

If you can't afford anymore, take a look at the 8800GS. About 158-170 euro depending on what model you choose. Decent card. Not sure what else I'd look at in that price range, the HD3850 is another decent choice but you'd want to be making the best of your already limited budget and I can't see it getting much better then the 8800GS to be honest.

If you could stretch another 20 euro the Austek 3870 on Dabs.ie is an excellent value choice at 190 euro, or for another 30-40 you could get the 8800GT, worth the extra cash without question.

Sorry in a bit of a rush, I'm sure someone will fill in links for you soon. And, of course, it's all subjective to what size screen you're using. I'll assume you're using a 22", which is standard enough among gaming machines these days.

    Radeon 3850 256MB 134,63 €
    Radeon 3850 512MB 155,57 €
    GeForce 8800 GT 512MB 202,47 €

The best card for your money is the 3850 with the 500 megs of ram.
    Goodluck.

    XfX 8800gs

Again as said before your probably better off spending a bit more and getting an 8800gt.Depending of course on the resolutions you're using and games you plan on playing.
