You'll be needing to read this from start to finish

    Intro to Primary Curriculum

..And go through these as soon as you can.

Primary school subjects - curriculum and teacher guidelines

    Good luck!

thanks trotter. I went to college for my B.A. in St Patricks in Drumcondra and had been trying to get the curriculum cd rom version for a while off some of the people i knew from there i had no idea they were available on line so thanks a million. Are you familiar with the text-a-sub service?? would it be pointless to have a set of fairly standard basic worksheets for a just in case instance or would it be worth while.. I keep putting off sighing up to the text a sub as although i'm familiar with quiite a lot of the theory covered on the B.Ed course in St Pats but I'm worried about coverting what i do know to a class room setting.
Any Tips or advice gratefully accepted...
    thanks, Sinead

Wait until you've done a few days at different levels. I often thought it was better to stick to their books and just do a little bit on each one in a day. That way the children stay in their routines. Just my own opinion really. Some people swear by worksheets.. each to their own I suppose.
