Hi, is there anyway to get the touch running on OS 10.3.9? Other than an upgrade to 10.4.0 ? Or can anyone suggest the cheapest way to move to 10.4.0 ?

    Cheers any help appreciated!

ipod touch requires 10.4.10 to run it cant be done on 10.3, ebay or adverts is your best bet to pick up a cheap copy, or depending on how old your hardware is maybe go all out for leopard (10.5) its fantastic

Cheers thumper I thought there might be a patch or something to get over it?

Its a PB G4 so Leopard is a no go really, what should I pay for an upgrade to 10.4.1 ? Anyone got a copy they could sell legally of course! ?

Leopard runs on less zippy chips than 1Ghz G 4 chips so your PB would want to be very old if it can't support it.

Its from 2004 a 1.33Ghz 256 RAM, would it be ok it runs great as it is so id rather leave it as it is than update and find it slower.

    Or would it be ok?

1.3 will have no problems at all. You can do worse than installing a bit of some more RAM, though; 256 would be a tad weak.
