DivX Disaster!

Does anyone know what's required for the Xbox360 to play back DivX files? As in, all of them?

I have the most recent Dashboard update.
I have my Windows Media Player 11 set to sharing with Xbox360---I also have all my video folders selected in the Monitor My Folders subsection.
I have the Sharing setup excused from the Windows Firewall.

    But get this...

It will playback all the files in one folder. They are all DivX or variants.
It will playback every file except one in another folder.
One folder comes up blank, yet I've twelve files in that one.
And finally, it refuses to detect one particular DivX---I've tried moving the file around different llocations, and I've repeatedly updated the Share Library on WMP.
A little OT, but my PS3 won't detect the PC at all...yet it did yesterday. No change between then and now...what's going on???

My router is working fine---I'm using it now, and sure it's feeding the signal to the Xbox. Does anyone have any ideas??? Thanks

Try using TVersity instead of WMP, I find it much better.

I did try using that before but I find it crashes alot...It's got a great write up.

Anybody try Zune? Does it need to be loaded up everytime I want to stream across the network? Or is it automatic? And do I need to switch off the sharing setting on WMP11?

If your DivX is encoded with DivX 3 or earlier it won't work. Also if you use some weird audio codec your mileage may vary.

Yeah, i'd say it most likely just doesn't support all of your divx files. There's several of mine it won't play either.

Anything I download from www.divx.com won't play. Anything from torrent sites play fine. Weird.

Zune won't add your divx files.
