How to renew US social security details

    I have a social security number from the US since I was a child.Im looking to go and work in America.How do I go about updating this etc- Any advice:confused:

    I don't think your social security number expires. Similar to your ppsn thing.

    I don't think you have to renew them they are valid for life, my wife who is from the US just confirmed this to me. What might be of concern would be permission to remain, have you a US Passport or Green card. In any event the US Embassy in Dublin should be able to assist.

    You should just be able to get a new card sent to you.
    It is just like a PPSN. It doesnt expire or anything.
