Gossip Girl?

Does anyone know when this show will be coming to Ireland? I heard that Channel 5 in the UK bought it so it's not likely to show here on LivingTV or one of those other channels. Has anyone heard anything?

According to this page, ITV2 have bought it, and it starts in March. Does that automatically mean TV3?

I doubt it because it's ITV2, and TV3 only seem to show ITV1 shows. I'm surprised it's not going to be on E4. It could possibly turn up on TG4, since they managed to get The OC and One Tree Hill.

But all this is speculation, I dont really have a clue.

It's a good guilty pleasure show though.

According to Digital Spy, ‘ITV2 has won the rights’ to Gossip Girl which is just one of the American TV shows ITV2 is acquiring. The ITV channel already airs shows like Entourage and Supernatural and will also air the new show Bionic Women starring Michelle Ryan. Although there are no overly famous actors in Gossip Girl you may recognise Nate (Chase Crawford) from The Covenant, Dan (Penn Badgley) from John Tucker Must Die and Rufus (Matthew Settle) from I Still Know What You Did Last Summer. Enjoy the drama, love triangles and amazing wardrobes when Gossip Girl airs.

I watched the first few episodes of Gossip Girl and I really enjoyed it. Nice bit of fluff really! I hope it gets picked up by one of the channels I have.

The Hollywood Reporter breaks news that Michelle Trachtenberg has made a deal to appear on multiple episodes of Gossip Girl.

The Buffy alum is set to play Georgina Sparks. Sparks will head to Manhattan, after a stint in rehab, and will shake up the life of Blake Lively's character, Serena van der Woodsen. In other words, Michelle will be the bitch. We love it!

As you may recall, Mischa Barton was being considered for the role, but she allegedly backstabbed the producers and just used them for publicity.

Thank God she's not on it!! It would have been the end of GG.

Trachtenberg is just getting all the luck this year. She's appearing in the comedy Kids in America, but even better, she just recently wrapped up filming Seventeen Again, where she stars with Zac Efron.

Oh I love Gossip Girl, reminds me of Cruel Intentions and is like an OTH replacement patch until the new season starts!

I was watching it online somewhere I'll never mention again for fear of the mods banning me I'll rewatch it on the TV though, it was all subtitled badly for a Japanese station..

I'd say TG4 will snap it up. They usually have cool shows.

i just bought the first season on dvd for €30. i love the show

I've looked through the tv guides for tg4 and I see no sign of this. Maybe she got mixed up and was watching ITV2 or that other show Samantha Who (I mix up stations and programmes all the time)? Anyway I can't believe it isn't on Irish tv yet, they're well into the second series in the States and it's super popular and all over every magazine. Everyone will have watched it online by the time they finally get their act together!!

Hadn't seen any ads for the show but it's up on the website. YAY... Although I did just get the DVD set last week. Hopefully they'll start showing the 2nd series straight after.

It actually is. Similar plotlines to other dramas I've seen, but a fairly original take on them. Fairly decent show this.

I'm fairly sure the season one boxset is in shops over here.
The last few episodes of season 2 have just started airing in the US so the season 2 dvd should be available online by the summer.
