We have set up a blog for live updates. We will update when we can. There is a slim chance Blonde will be over for the Main Event but as most of their bloggers are playing it is looking unlikely.

Best of luck to Derek 'kobraki' Cosgrove who looks well chipped up - he's one of the best shorthanded players i know when he can control his tilt and bring his 'A' game

Had the pick of the starting tables in this yesterday with myself, muldoon, pillowtalk, conbro all at the same table. It was probably the most enjoyable table ive played at once into the second level everyone started to play. Gave pillow a needless 10k with an unimproved AK. Managed to get it back up to the 20k starting stack before the table broke. My next table was much softer, Paul Lecky, Dan Bolton, Paul Fish, Collie Stuttard, Smurph. When smurph was eliminated she was replaced my Rob Taylor for a bit of extra value. The key pot for me was when with 4 limpers to my BB i checked with K10. Flop comes AQJ all hearts, ive the ten of hearts aswell. I bet out 1200, Fish makes it 4000 playing 12k, i shoved him in and he called with the 4high flopped flush. Got back up to 10k and then pushed against Paul Lecky with 99 vs his AQ. Ace high flop andd that was it. Really good tourney and hope Albert can take it down

    Sick doesnt cover it.

Paul Fitzpatrick raises UTG as usual, i reraise to 22k with AKo. I've been reraising him in position with a massive range to isolate him, the whole table can see whats going on. Sean Prenderville thinks and goes all in, paul folds it's on me. I dwelled. It looked like a squeeze, and usually a good move as we both would normally have a wide range. it was 81k more to me out of 200k. I couldnt fold AK 5 handed given this situation. I called. He showed QQ and i missed all.

paul then says "dont go crazy on us now raising all the time!!".

VERY next hand. AKo on C/O. i raise, paul says "what did i say?!". sean reraises to 20k from sb. Given the chat, given the previous hand etc it looks like tilt from me. So it comes back on me and i shove, he thinks and calls with 99 and i miss.

2 x 200k+ pots in 2 hands and i lose both flips and am out. I never get too attached to AK even 5 handed but in both hands had very good reason for getting it in. Oh well.

Hey requiem , i was seat one on your table. Laid down J 10 when you checkraised me all in that time.

Pretty gutted, went out 15th. Had just doubled up off fish when we got it all in on the river on a board of A 8 7 9 9 (me 89 Fish 8 10). Blinds 1-2K i have 170K, CO (140K) opens for 6k, i flat call AKo on the button. A K 6 flop with 2 hearts. He bets 6000, i raise to 29K , he then reraises ( i don't notice how much cos i'm too busy scorching the felt getting the rest of my stack in!) he calls with 66 and holds. Ship my last 30K with QQ V sean prendivilles AK. Some hope on a K J 10 flop but no luck.

Fantastic tourney, lots of flops to be taken, rivers and turns to be played, well done GJP.

Playing the main event super sat and getting pissed now. Ich habe un sickness.

    8 left - Derek has 210K
They're going to play a final table of 7 (I think) as they don't want to play a 3 handed and 4 handed table

Sick. Ul man. Most times he can have Ax here, a set is yuck.

I had 10 10 for the c/r, i'd usually c/r less but you had an awkward stack if i made it 25k it left you slight scope to make a move or to hit and i knew it was definitely not the right flop to price you in on a good draw.

As for my 2x AK hands, given the table dynamic, banter etc, dont think there's any way i can do anything differently 5-handed. Just sick.

    Adam,

Its a given there will be some "active" cash games. Was there till 6.30 this morning on a very "tight" omaha table:rolleyes: with Owen Mullen, Sean Gregory, Vesty, Conbro, Lecky and a few others.

Note to self, must stop digging myself a hole to get out of!! 800 down to 1400up

That's strange, cause there are 4 names that spring to mind immediately

Tom "I own boards like" Murphy,

    Joe "I luv Bacardi" O'Neill,

Sean "Motor Mouth" ??? (don't know surname, but likes stripy rugby tops & Friend of Joe "I Luv Bacardi" O'Neill)

Paul "Fish" (I luv hair gel) Fitzpatrick....
