Right I need to settle a debate here.

Theres 2 camps of people here in the room: People that think True Lies was an honest, serious take on an action movie. The rest of us think that it was a complete pisstake. The vote is completely split: so I launch a poll!

IMO the worst action movie ever.

Yeah it was more serious than you're average p***-take action movie, but certainly not anything you'd call serious hard-core action movie.

Did one good guy even get killed in it?

Huh? It's a piss take! It's brilliant!

Oddly , had the same conversation with my gf last night (night before?) about Mr & Mrs Smith. Watched a bit of it, she half remembered it from the cinema, said it was a bit far-fetched. It pretty much the same thing, only with Angelina for eye candy instead of Jamie Lee Curtis (great though she does look for her age)

I thought it was an action film (Of the "bring a glass jar to hold your brain in as you watch it" variety) which took a swipe at spy movies as it was doing it.

You may have forgotten that at the time this movie was supposed to be the death of the bond movie. Arnie out Bonded Bond.

At the time the Bond movies were getting increasingly silly culminating in the invisible car ****e.

One reason why Daniel Craig is worth every penny and more they are paying him, he took Bond back to character driven high espionage, assasination and ridin'.

Oh and good writing and direction might have had something to do with it.

I know it was a remake of the first bond, but I loved how Bond(Craig) was so sloppy and brutish (Bursting through a wall during Parkour scene).

Bond being too polished is just boring.

You won't find many politician at any level, State or Federal, with a better than 60% approval rating.

Yep, he's a pretty smart guy. Marrying into the Kennedys etc... California had a 40 billion debt before he came on board.

It was an excellant film that engaged many people with both the Arab and used car saleman worlds in an intelligent, inclusive manner.;)

It's a great film you just don't know what you're talking about. Bill Paxton, a nuke going off, a Harrier jet, Tia Carrere and Jamie-Lee curtis' strip scene. What more could you want.

Definitely one of Schwarzenegger's better films.
