Using terrestrial cable for satellite

My house was wired for cable before I arrived and as I have no need for our local cable company , I use the cables to send satellite channels around the house. I plug the RF-out cable into an RF wall socket and this acts as a "broadcaster" to any room with a cable connection. In other words, whatever channel I am watching on my satellite receiver can also be watched upstairs.

I am now wondering if use the LNB-loop out function to do the same thing, can I send satellite signals to another room the same way? Obviously, this room will need a receiver to decode the signal for the TV.

Will I have a MHz issue?

    TIA!

If the cable is typical so-called "low loss" cable with no foil shield then it's only rated up to 1GHz. As LNB signals start at 0.95GHz and go above 2GHz, your chances of success are poor. You really need something like WC100 or WF100 double-screened cable.

the lnb loop out is of limited value as you can only watch channels on the same band and polarity, far better to get a multi output lnb and run a good quality cable direct to the 2nd receiver or via the existing cable if this is not possible.

A major problem with cheap aerial cable is the lack of decent screen, not the frequency response (which may be OK). The satellite signals are IF, high level as part of the receiver is the LNB. You generate interference on upper TV channels, both GSM frequencies, DECT cordless and 3G band!

Also all those gadgets will interfere with the satellite signal.

Basically you are breaking the law by transmitting when you use poor cable.

The IF loop was only for Analog/Digital setups where only one receiver was on. It is now of no use.
