Started play about a year ago ,up 2k last year and wanted to added to this this year .The year so far was very poor down 600 thats casino + online so pretty pi$$ed off.

I try to read as much theory as possible espically here and 2+2 so guess its a learning experence.Just had two sick beats in the space of 5 minutes ak v ak lose to a flush then nuts flush to a full house (130 alltogether).I am trying to get a br from 50nl .I generally get to the final table with mtts (low stakes 10-20$) but the last mtt went in way ahead twice in a row and still lost its so dishearting

What keeps every 1 going,I read nicnic well etc but is it worth it .I love the game .I know people say step down or leave the casino alone but I have a rule of tumb 150 or less for the casino if i lose then leave ,my biggest depoisit was prob 100 yoyos.Should I be investing more?Played 10-20 found it easy enough.

sorry for this going to post the hands now.I think i am missing something ideas some good books?

    be brutual!!

DO NOT PLAY 10/20. Your bankroll does not allow it and its not easy. Players at that level will sort you out very quickly and destroy you. Move up when BR permits.

lol i think he mean .10/.20 - sound like a few standard beats, u will never get fully used to it happening, but you become numb to it after a while and it dosnt affect you any more - just deposit a large amount and play a relatively low level and build from there - post your poker tracker stats after at least 5000 hands and you will get some good advice on how to improve your game

nice one, it sounds like you're a really good player but you're just running bad. Sometimes you just can't beat the fish. Keep on trucking and you'll come through in the long run.

I love playing just feel the last few months where a waste of time(cos of luck boxes. or cos I am crap!) , I was reading as much as i can about position, low stakes medium stakes watching videos, going through my poker tracker and try and tighten my leaks.I know its only a year and not expectings 1000s of $ of winnings but i just feel that just cos I want to know how to play (willing to learn etc) people just luck out eg I go in with the best hand but still lose.

Maybe I am depressed about the game, anyway I will lower my level and try and grind a gameout of it.Clearly I am not as good as I think I am.

I am going to stop being sorry for myself.I decided to drop down to .20 but what should I have as a bankroll 200 seems ok to me am I wrong? (I think any lower blinds is a joke and would not advance my game at all)

one more question is party poker better for sats not really played but signed up to the newsletter and it seems to be.

as said before be brutal I know people played against me from here so how bad am I?

200 is plenty for .10/.20 as a rule of thumb move up when you have at least 25 buy ins for the next level so if your playing .50/1.00 you should have $2500 to be sufficiently bankrolled for it.

The better you get at the game, the ratio of bad beats given to bad beats taken changes as u tend to be in with the best of it more often.

This is a good point, and very true. I just repeat it over and over in my head after i get ko'd in a donkament, its surprisingly relaxing:D

It's still a game of luck no matter how often you do the supposed "right thing". World champions lose on opening tables.
