Luton to Marrakesh with Ryanair

So apparently there's no time difference between London and Marrakesh, however, on the way out from Luton the flight takes 2.5 hours (06.00-08.35) but on the way back it apparently takes 4.5 hours (09.00-13.40).

Anyone done this trip before? Am I missing something?

Is your trip spanning the DST change here at that stage? We change on 30/3/08, whereas Morocco stays on GMT all year round. But then again, that would only explain one hour of the difference.

Well it is at least 3 hours to Portugal and about 5 to Egypt so I can't see how the flight would be so short on the way over.

Well unless I've read wrong but I don't think so. Go on to the ryanair site and have a look. Maybe a second pair of eyes might spot something I've missed.

In August we will be on DST, Morocco will not. The flights are given in local times so will be approx 3h30 both ways.

There's still an hour in the difference though isn't there?

    2.5 hours out

    3.5 hours in

No because we'll be leaving at 6 London time (which is 5 in Marrakesh) and arriving at 8.30 Marrakesh time so 5 to 8.30 is 3.5 hours.
