    aaw man :(

I knew he was seriously ill recently.
Didn't he own and live on some abandoned oil rig or something at sea, or did I misread that somewhere?

Loved you've been framed and beadles about too.... my staples of hearty laughter.

    RIP

He had been very ill on and off for a few years. 59 years of age. Very sad.

Game For a Laugh was funny - if harsh. You've Been Framed, Beadle's About etc were never missed in my house on a Saturday night in the 80s/early 90s.

Would you believe, I watched the video of Spitting Image's "We All Hate Jeremy Beadle" only yesterday? It contains the (now prophetic) image of the Sun newspaper with a headline "Beadle's About... to die!".

    See here.

Oh, and may he rest in peace, the ould prankster.

Yeah and if we recognised all of them we'd probably be posting our condolences too.

Like eolhc I used to listen to him on Talk Radio UK. Up to that point I didn't much like him. On the radio though he seemed clever, articulate, funny. He was amongst those with the best general knowledge in the UK and people used to phone him with questions.

He was also a strong proponent of euthanasia so I'd say he had no qualms about death.

    RIP Jeremy

    He is not dead.

He will be leaping out of his coffin at the end of the service and shouting "surprise" !!

Hope he gets out before it hits the flames in the crematorium.

Both of Mr. Beadles hands look reasonably normal in this clip

Are you sure you're not confusing his hand with some other part of his body? eg foot

Although now that I look at it he does seem to have a freakishly small hand in this clip http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qWGN5RUqmT0&NR=1

Jeremy Beadle has requested that his remains be recycled into compost and scattered on his garden.

ITV sources say he could be back in early Autumn with “Watch Out Beadle’s A Sprout”
