newly laid turf going yellow in places

    laid turf lawn in late august

    now i see lots of areas turning yellow

    what should i do?

    If it is not a low fertility problem (will green up with a feed in spring), it is more than likely a water-logging/soil compaction issue.
    This excess water within the pores of the soil reduces the amount of oxygen and nutrients normally available to the grass, causing it to weaken and yellow.
