Getting messages off my sony erricson onto my harddrive??

    Ok someone out there must know this, my sms inbox is now full and i need a wya of transferring all the sms messages from my phone to my computer. My phone is a sony erricson k800i btw and no im not going to just delete em, but i will go through pretty much anything to get em on my computer.

    Help anyone?

    you need a data cable or bluetooth USB dongle and the sony ericsson pc suite available here:

    ok got em off my phone, next question. anyone know how to convert .sms to .txt or similar?

    can you see the texts in the sony ericsson software? If so, can you highlight the text, ie click and drag across it, making it turn blue? If so, do that, then right-click and click copy, then open notepad, right-click and click paste

    or right-click on the .sms file, select "open with" and choose notepad. It might just show up as garbage but you might be able to see the text and then save it as a .txt

    However sometimes when you move texts etc using myphoneexplorer, the phone still gives you warnings about the text memory being full.

    used myphone explorer, there all on my harddrive. I dont have a clue how to A) get em readn in word, or b)convert the file format so itl read in word. ideas?

    What do you want to save? Text? Contacts? Try selecting the stuff you want, then right click the mouse, there is an Export option with a number of different formats.

    No your ot quite getting me, i have it saved onto my harddrive, i saved my messages, now i want to be able to read em without having a programme installed just for doing that. Like reading em using somthing like word etc.
