try 123.ie, I got a quote on a 2004 WRX STI, 32 yrs old and 5+ years no claims and 5+ years named driver, it came in less than a grand. Buy it before July and the tax will be fine, thats my plan anyway - and also buy in the UK!!

Only if imported/bought new after july.

Try going through a broker.. Never had issues insuring WRX or STI's im my 20's ;) Was insured with Allianz if any use

I'm with Axa via the AA for mine (see my sig, it's for sale!), pay about €700, I'm 33 with 3years NCB.

More scaremongering...it stays the same as said earlier for cars registered before July.

Lucky bastard. I'm thinking of buying a tyre and learning to run on it. Stupid sold my car to move to the other side of the world.
Now I cant even drive back.
I have often found, paradoxically, that brokers quote a pretty good price when its difficult to get it from the big guys. Maybe ring around a few local brokers and annoy them? You can play them against each other a bit more too.

    Them all!
When they hear WRX they will see €€€ and I presume then overall tehre will be a huge price discrepancy between them.

Personally, I think you'll need to provide more details, price etc

I would do a bit of research on these cars before buying. There are alot of things to watch out for when buying especially the jap import ones.

Make sure all the sums add up. They are very heavy on fuel and maintenance intervals are short and can be expensive.

I looked into a STi a few years back but it was another one of those cars that didn't add up for me at the time.

The best people to ask are what to look out for are the Irish Subaru Drivers club
