Right, my partner and i are together about a year and a half.

over he last few months this joke has kinda developed between us about me being pregnant. Im not by the way.

I cant even remember how it started but now he talks about it all the time.

He even sent me a "congrats" card on being pregnant the other day "as a joke"

It doesnt really bother me but im guessing that the fact that he wont let it go means that he is fairly broody?

Or am i reading too much into a joke?

a little. tbh if my bf did that i'd laugh my head off but i guess i like eccentricisms. sometimes ppl find it hard to let go of a joke if they find it funny. had a bf who thought it was funny as f*ck to say he hated me the whole time. generally it means they're not good at understanding others.
just wait until he does it again and tell him its no longer funny.

Ask him. Surely if you play jokes like this, youre both open enough to talk about the baby issue? Yes, be lighthearted, but if its bugging you enough to post here, you need to raise it as a slightly more serious issue than you both have so far?

The card thing does seem a bit ott, but you may just be those kinda people. :)

I used to do it to one girl but mainly because I knew it scared the sh*t out of her though liked hearing me say it at the same time.

The "congrats" text is what struck me as odd.

TBH, the best way to find out is to just ask him. If you're not comfortable with saying 'do you want to have a kid?' outright, wait until the next time he makes a joke and then say something like 'wow, I'm starting to think you want me to be pregnant.' and see how he reacts.

There's an old saying 'Half joking, whole in earnest'. You need a bit of straight talking about this to find out if he's trying to pressure you in a jokey way.

Tell him you're pregnant. Leave him **** himself a day or two and then laugh at him. Joke will die a quick death.
