    Hi All,

Does Sky Anytime work in Ireland? I had Sky+ installed on the 17th and there is no sign of the anytime option. Do I have to register for it?

    yep it works.
I dont know how to force it (are there any options on the services menu menu?)
I have a hd box not subscribed so can't see much of the stuff , but that doesn't bother me :D

When in the menu your recordings are under "Planner" on the green button. Anytime is under the red button.
There are options to turn it on or off under the services menu.

I had Sky+ installed around the same time and it's working fine for me (not there's much of interest on it)! I presume you're pressing 'tv guide' and then red?

There's no red button option in the menu. Where is the services option?

I don't have a phone line connected - could that be making a difference?

    Thanks.

if you press the tv guide button on the remote there should be an option for pressing red (for anytime )
or green for programs that have been recorded.

if you press the services button on the remote and go to option 6 the anytime settings are in this menu.

    hope this helps

It is also possible that the Sky+ box was "on the shelf" for a while, unused. It might have missed a software update or two.

Also if its one of the Amstrad grade A boxes, then it wont work.

Or a Pace V2, hard disk is too small, only 40 gigs, so no Anytime.

It is a Pace. The model number in system details is 4.008pi - is that a Pace V2 ? Would they still be delivering old Sky+ boxes on a new install???

I have updated the software, but I assume I will have to wait another few days to see if any programmes are downloaded.

    It's definitely a Pace V3.

You say you have updated the software. I presume you mean the Forced Software update (unplug mains, press and hold BackUp on front of box, return power while still holding Backup until LED's on front of box light up, and wait...)

You might have to wait a while if the updated software is not being broadcast. The box would update itself automatically anyway after a few days.

That the way I did it. The box updated for around 10 minutes. It had been plugged in for almost 2 weeks, so may well have been up to date anyway.

I am also having a problem with Remote Record - I think I will have to call Sky to see if they can help.
