Just heard it on Ray D'arcy there!

Dustin is performing one of 6 songs going up for a public vote in a show on RTÉ on the 23rd of February.

Does anyone still think Dustin is funny?! Still.. better than Dervish!

And because it'll be a public vote this year, you can just see Dustin winning it. It'll apparently be a song taking the piss outta the Eurovision.
better than that godawful caterwauling from last year

I concur, I thought that was a very good song. Although it seems that not many people remember it anymore.

The Voice was a great song, as was Rock n Roll kids.

"Chances" written and performed by Marc Roberts is one of the candidates as well. Didn't he do sh1te for us before?

If my memory serves correctly, in 2005 the "Your A Star" show was the medium to pick the Irish entry.

That same year, Brendan O'Connor, in his infinite wisdom, told a group of lads from Meath or somewhere, who had dressed up as monsters to:

"go home lads, its not Eurovision material"

The ginger kids represented us that year.

One year later, Lordi did the monster rock thing and won

    I say, Go Dustin!

I'm expecting a rigged vote and Dustin to finish second by a "hares breath".

If that happens I will personally call live line and request a public inquiry. RTE makes enough money out of television votes not to mention the ****ing TV license. If he loses, when everyone is sure they voted for him, I will want heads to roll in RTE.

We have sent plenty of muppets to the Eurovision in previous years, whats wrong with sending a puppet?

    Dustins gonna get stuffed!

(Has that been said one hundred times already on this thread?)

    :D

My opinion is, since the televoting was introduced it's not about the song anymore, its more about having an act that's good enough to beat the bloc voting. So I say let Dustin go for it, something wacky and random is what you need!

I think he has a shot at winning to be honest. I think alot of countries will realise its a p1ss take. There was a piece about him on Sky news, so we will get 12 points from them anyway. It will be the first time a contestant actively said in the song, give me your 12 points.

I really do think he could do it.

Could Dustin kill the eurovsion song contest? Or is that a stupid question as Dana International and Lordi could'nt.

Apparently all shortlisted hopefuls will be singing "What's another year" on the Late Late tonight. Including Dustin.

    Might actually be worth watching....

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

it never ceases to amaze me how that fat bastard is on a judging panel for a music contest. What are his musical credentials? Being an unfunny fat bastard comedian? Good job with donna and joe by the way, you fat twat.
    Dustin for the win!!

TBH I dont know what the attraction is of watching a turkey on stage roaring out some brutal song which only serves to keep the nation as a complete laughing stock in our "dearly beloved" Eurovision.
I know its a crap contest anyway but this turkey just isn't funny any more and its going to be cring-worthy to say the least if he manages to get through.
