Dublin flights to Bari/Brindisi

Was wondering how Ryanair make routes and destinations.Basically my situation if I need to go to Bari to see my girlfriend is that I have to take a flight to either London Stansted or Frankfurt Hahn and then take a second flight.

Now there is a new route linking Milan and Bari and in a few months,Bari will be linked to Pisa (Florence) all by Ryanair flights.

I don't particularly mind flying through Stansted and Frankfurt as they are very nice airports but the trouble is waiting around which can be a pain especially on weekdays if there are no football matches on in the pubs.Basically, how does one go about trying to get an airline to make a new route or does anybody know what criteria airlines base their decisions on.

I think the flight service from Dublin to Southern Italy is beyond a joke as its non-existent and this part of Italy may be restricted access to Irish unless they take a connecting flight.

    Any thoughts?
