What kind of computer is it? You have vista so there shouldn't be any problem.

Doesn't vista come with dx 10 by default? where did dx 9 come into this?

Yes it does but the games wont run DX10. there is an option with all DX10 games to run in DX9 in the case that you dont have a DX10 graphics card. But i do and thats why im confused as to why my computer will crash when i try to run them.

download and instal this http://www.nvidia.co.uk/object/winvista_x86_169.25_whql_uk.html. should sort out all ur problems. its jus a recent driver.

also, dont expect to be able to run crysis at all "very high" settings as you will get very poor frame rates. its a kick in the teeth i know, but ppl with 8800gtx's in sli cant either. although ur pc will handle it much better than most ppls.
