If you come from the Roscommon road direction (from Roscommon town) it's straight on front of you at the end of that road.

You can go right or left to circle into the Battery area.

Easiest route is - take the left then a right at the traffic lights and drive to the end of that road then take another right and hey presto - The Batteries!

Is that the road where you pass Hodson bay hotel on the left and go under the N6? There is a small retail park on the left with a builders suppliers etc?

The better question is why do you wanna go to the batteries!!

Its as pawrick said take the main road into athlone keep go straight on at ganlys, keep going till the t junction at the end of the road and then turn left.

Turn right at the traffic lights

go straight up that road turn right at roundabout(3rd exit - including very small one that is straight ahead),

go straight on then and that whole area is battery heights, its big enough so even when your in there it might be hard enough to find what your looking for
