    In safe mode:
Right click my computer > system properties> advanced> startup and recovery> uncheck auto restart box

this should let you see the bsod

    Microsoft KB
    • If this issue occurs after the first restart during Windows Setup, or after the Setup program is finished, the computer may not have sufficient hard disk space to run Windows.
    • If this issue occurs after the first restart during Windows Setup, or after Setup is complete, the computer BIOS may be incompatible with Windows.
    • Incompatible video adapter drivers.
    • A damaged device driver or system service.
    • If the issue is associated with the Win32k.sys file, it may be caused by a third-party remote control program.

Did you touch anything fitting the waterblock? Check all connections. It starts in safe mode so that's something positive.

Theres also a patch for this specific error:
"This patch for Windows XP fixes a bug in Windows XP that can cause a STOP 0x0000007E error in aec.sys (also called the 0x7E stop error). The full message may read 'STOP 0x0000007e (parameter1, parameter2, parameter3, parameter4) aec.sys'. These parameter values can vary between systems and may look like, for example, 0xC0000005, 0x00000000, 0xF8954384, 0xF8954080."

with no success i wiped my raid and created a new one, then reinstalled windows, but when i tried to load up windows i got the same blue screen ,i have tried my ram with memtest and it passes with around a hours test.this time it will not even go into safemode it just gives the bsod when trying to load it

so is this down to hardware (could i have damaged my mobo when installing the NB and sb block or my gfx ?? or could it be my hard drive ?

any ideas on how to find out whats casuing the problems and to fix them?

Try a bare system build, out of case if necessary. After that you can try replacing components 1 at a time.
