Hey'all... (lol at the idea of "the boss" :)... if only someone made me coffee occasionally I'd be a happy administrator :) )

    DeV.
There's a question. If DeVore not "the boss" of this particular Chung Kuo, who is? It is just from my casual perusings if there is a major problem DeV seems to be the most active admin.
My inherent nosiness will get me in trouble eventually

BTW DeV if you are in need of refreshment the cocktails at Yore Ma's will make you the happiest admin ever

There are five, (kinda six) admins. They share collective responsibility for the running of the boards sites.

The idea originated with DeVore, and Cloud. Admin involvement seems to be cyclical in terms of who is the most prominent. Most recently, Vexorg was everywhere, but now that he is on a well earned break DeVore has assumed a more active role.

There is no hard and fast rule, and an admin can generally be found reasonably promptly, RL permitting, when their input is necessary.

Think of boards being like a band and DeV being the Vocalist. When they get popular they tend to get more vocal. Think of Bono & U2

But DeV is a fairly reasonable guy? What is your question?

    Thank you for that.

    Supplementary question.

You have mentioned three of them. Who are the others? I assume Ecksor and Regi are.

As the title of the thread states.......

It's just nice to know who not to really piss off.

One of the things I generally bring to the Admin Party is communications with the community. Hence you hear from me more often then the others but it would be very unfair to say I am the most active Admin. There are many many hours of tech support and infrastructure that simply do not get seen because the site is almost always up and running smoothly. There are commerical things that Vex has been looking at lately that also arent obvious etc... I only appear to be the most active.

As for the "boss" comment... I just think the phrase "boss" seems very weird on a community site like this.

Congrats on being one the few people who didnt need to be told where my nick came from :)

No matter how communal an organisation is, there is generally a visible apex. Even groups like the Quakers choose a moderator as a spokesman, if nowt else.
As regards the activities of the admins, I have no doubt that they are the swan's legs. I was just commenting on my perceptions as to who was seen the most. Most post and all that
