    Hola.

I've been debating this for a while now but I'm hoping to start doing Capoeira as part of my fitness regime. I've been working on my general fitness since September last and at present am more confident in my abilities to part take in classes.

what I'm looking for is anyones view's or experiences with classes on the south-side/city center. I'm currently living in D6 and so somewhere close would be preferable.

Classes in the city centre on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays in the Carmelite Community Centre. To get there you can just walk up Georges St. from Temple Bar and its on the right hand side, roughly across from a net cafe called Wired. Wired has a big yellow sign outside it. If that doesn't help then the centre is right beside a bus stop? You should find it no problem, the doorway to the place is massive. When you walk in walk to the right and go up the stairs. There's only one room up there (well, only one big enough for a class). The classes on Monday and Wednesday are from 9 and Friday is from 7. Beginners are always welcome, I haven't been in ages so I can't be sure what day would be best to go. Pele, the teacher, is absolutely lovely.

There's also a class from 8 to 9 on Wednesdays for learning the songs and instruments they sing/play when they play capoeira which should definitely make your mind up for you that this is something you definitely want to take up haha. Enjoy yourself.

    Gasparzinho, nobody'll know me.
Gaucho is a legend. I wanted to go down to the opening of your school but I didn't for some reason.
