I had the same when I was swimming every day.
I ended up using Vaseline Intensive care Dry skin formula.
Feels quite oily going on, but does the job.

Very common problem most swimmers suffer from to some degree.
I put some vaseline on the "lats" where my arm rubs during crawl before i get in which i find great. None of this greasy stuff going into the pool is great for the water but i guess there's a lot worse going in at the shallow end/kids area :D

Do you put on the J&J after the shower or while you shower? Are you all oily after it?

I have this problem as well, cheers.

Hi i suffer from very dry skin and at times have psoriasis. I use Silcocks Base (or an Emulsifying Ointment) (These can be bought in chemists and for a big tub it ususally costs less than a fiver)

Before going into shower i plaster myself with Silcocks Base and use a body brush to scrub myself. They I dry myself and rub more Silcocks Base. Silcocks Base or Emulsifying Ointment is used as both a soap substitute and a moisturiser.

Put good old Vaseline on BEFORE swim and a little on after swim. Cheap, and works a treat for me.:)
