Have the 4gb version, all changed to drag and drop now thank god, easy sync with windows media player

Edit: must note that this is a great player and the earphones are probably the best earphones that come with any media player. great quality.

Linoge: Ah maybe so, in the shop it said half price

Fieldog: No, drag and drop, so handy enough

No drag and drop is the reason this is cut price.
It was replaced about 6 months after release with the newer model that looks exactly the same but works with WMP and explorer with no sonic stage.
I got one on eBay brand new after the new one launched for £70stg....fantastic sound but I'd have happily paid the extra to be rid of SS which even in it's latest form is clnky and annoying. No atrac support in the new model though which might be a let down if you like ripping CDs and want to squeeze as much as you can in to 8gb.
Great 'phones too for a bundled pair...

NWZ 818 is the newer model. NWA 808 doesn't do D'n'D outside of sonic stage.

[edit] Forgot to add, the screen on this thing is a joy to behold. Even though it's tiny, good bitrate movies look almost HD quality.

Good spotting there, didnt really pay enough attention to the model number. sonic stage is crap, had it on my last sony and its a pain.

But must agree that the screen quality on it is amazing. Really high quality.

This is my 3rd Sony mp3 player and SS has gotten better over the years....and I'd still suffer SS just for the sound quality on any of their players; that's worth more than anything to me....I mean realistically I just fill the player as I need to, few albums at a time. Not one for chopping and changing tracks.
Just ironic that they finally release the perfect player after I've bought the old one. Might get the new one in silver and just use the other for work...

[edit] Should mention that I dropped it in a can of oil paint a few weeks back and it survived unscathed, apart from paint getting into the media port which gave me trouble until I cleaned it
