Have these been taken out of stores altogether? Really want to pick one up, but cant find anyplace that sells them new. I really should have picked one up years ago but never bothered and now I need one!!!

Why not just get a DS? They can take GBA games too.

Got them, I have to say the SP is smashing as you can play all existing Gameboy titles and the backlit screen means that you don't have to be located on Mercury at midday to do it either.
The Micro is superb because, while it is only compatible with GBA titles, it has an excellent screen, simply built to play Warioware on, and its extremely portable, genuinely pocket sized.
HMV had a whole bunch for sale late last year and was only charging €30 odd for them, I got two!
The SPs are long gone, although Gamestop does occasionally get them in on trade, although they may have ceased accepting them recently, so get onto them soon, any given store will be able to tell you if all the other stores in the chain have one in stock so that may be your best bet.
I know Santry has a large stock of GBA titles unboxed in the store room, at a variety of bargain and some outrageous prices, so go to it!

There are plenty of them on Ebay. The average asking price for a new one is about €20. Like the others, I'd recommend you get the SP because of the backlight and the handy flip top lid which protects the screen. I owned an original GBA and traded it in for an SP when it came out - it made such a difference

I've got a DS now though and I like the screen on it better. I held onto a couple of my old GBA games and they look fab on the DS. Lovely and crisp and brighter than the DS

Bought one on ebay this evening, new game boy micro, from hong kong. Was kinda iffy about getting it but he's a power seller with 99.2% feedback so went for it. Also got 3 games (SSF2 Turbo Revival, Mario Kart, both boxed and ISS unboxed) for 22 euro which aint to bad!

Good deal, I got SSF2 Turbo Revival myself the other day and it's quite nice, just make sure you can find a charger for it, they are Micro specific you know, you may pick one up in Gamestop, Game or if no luck there eBay.

Dealextreme sell USB chargers for the DS. They may have one for the SP and micro too. Might be worth a look.
